Project description
Following our successful delivery of the 1000 Discovery Drive and Abcam buildings on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, our team were appointed to deliver two further BREEAM Excellent laboratory and office buildings. Our role also includes delivery of a c. 618 space multi-storey car park and an innovative semi-sunken bike store, designed to blend into landscaping. The six-storey buildings are designed speculatively to accommodate single or shared occupancy (up to two tenants a floor), and deliver approx. 216,000 sq ft space. Occupancy levels are based on 1:15 blended occupancy with the opportunity to expand to a 1:10 occupancy in the future. The building and services design allow for 60/40 Lab/ Office split.
On the ground floor, a double height space, faces the biomedical campus and welcomes scientific and medical collaboration. The ground floor also provides space for ancillary uses, including a yoga studio, retail unit and catering facilities.
