The London Borough of Newham planned to deliver 650 units to regenerate Canning Town. Rathbone Market plot 3, was the final phase of a mixed use development that delivered the final units of a three-part scheme.
Plot 3 comprised of 216 units built across three multi-storey buildings. These were a variety of private, affordable and PRS tenures. The developments were centred around a set of internal gardens that also provide a link for its tenants to the rest of the area.
Buro Four worked on Rathbone Market plot 1 and 2. Following that experience, we acted as client’s representative for plot 3. This ensured a seamless transition between the projects. The building at Rathbone Market won numerous awards including the 2017 Sunday Times’ Development of the Year Award.
