Key Facts

Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman
Area 13,000 sq. ft.

The Project

Having previously completed 30 Buckingham Gate for Caledonia Investments, our client subsequently bought the neighbouring property, 29 Buckingham Gate. The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of the building, whilst retaining the existing historic façade to the front elevation to create a new commercial office. Interior entrances were created through to 30 Buckingham Gate at ground and first floors, the retained façade was renovated and a new, enlarged, office space with external terraces was constructed, accommodating 12,000 sq. ft. of lettable space across five floors on a very constrained and historically significant site. The works were carried out across two contracts, one for the demolition works and one for the rebuild works.

Buro Four carried out project management and contract administration services for the project,
advising of any changes to the contract and settling third party agreements.

The works were carried out on a traditional form of contract with a small
number of Contractor Design Portions.
