The new £25m 92,000 sq ft Manchester development has reached practical completion

The scheme is made up of high-specification, flexible office, laboratory and clinical space set right in the heart of The Corridor Manchester – the city’s knowledge quarter.

It is a key component of the Health Innovation Campus for research and advancement in genomics, life sciences and the home to QIAGEN who will be making it their Global Centre of Excellence for Precision Medicine.

The Citylabs campus – a joint venture between Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), and Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) – will enable biomedical companies to grow and co-create new health products, in collaboration with the NHS and academia.

We were initially appointed at Stage 1 to provide strategic advice in terms of project set up and governance due to the complexity of the Joint Venture Client and stakeholder set-up.  We were subsequently appointed as Project Manager and Employer’s Agent for the scheme.

Getting it over the line in the current climate is testament to the hard work determination of the Buro Four team involved.
