Ruth joins a stellar line up of experts to improve London's retrofit

We are very proud that our Ruth Oates has been awarded a place on the New London Architecture (NLA) Expert Panel for Retrofit and Conservation.

Tasked with discussing the ongoing challenge of retrofitting and preserving London’s existing building stock, reviewing the impact of new policies in reducing carbon emissions, considering adaptive reuse and extending the life and heritage of historic buildings – the panel has a challenging but important remit.

Ruth brings invaluable experience with her current projects including the new London Museum at West Smithfield and the Royal Academy of Arts.

As well as her genuine passion for sustainability and maximising the potential of existing buildings. Ruth regularly lectures at universities on Project Management, has been a Trustee of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Director and Trustee of Buro Four’s Employee Benefit Trust.
