We are delighted to be handing the complex but incredibly rewarding Pears Building, Institute of Immunity and Transplantation to the Royal Free Charity, UCL and the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust.

The building, able to accommodate 200 researchers, will be an international centre of excellence for immunology research to improve human health by looking for cures and new treatments for global health problems including type 1 diabetes, cancer and organ rejection after transplantation.

The new building will house the Royal Free Charity offices and will include 3 floors of cutting-edge Containment Level 2 & 3 laboratory space as well as a patient hotel. Bringing together expertise to give individuals access to the latest advances in medical science.

Due to the nature of the building and the challenges presented, the project required an enormous amount of collaboration between the project team and all stakeholders involved in the project to deliver the Pears Building to the desired quality and to get the project over the line despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Buro Four is extremely proud to have been an integral part of such an important and momentous project and a huge well done to everyone involved.
